Woodgate Wins at the Sandringham Flower Show 2018
We were extremely proud to be invited to the Sandringham Flower Show with our design featuring in the Royal Garden in the main marquee.
We were given a bare plot and less than a week to showcase the talents we have at the Nursery. We rose to the challenge and created our ‘Great Storm of 1987’ themed garden – during the storm we lost many beautiful old trees at Woodgate, which we gave a new lease of life by using the old tree stumps, showing that against the odds regeneration can occur. The garden also featured wild flowers, an old cart shed and a water feature.
Conditions were challenging as we moved delicate plants from Woodgate during July’s heatwave. All our efforts paid off as we won a gold medal from the Sandringham Estate Cottage Horticultural Society Trust.
What a week and thank you to my hard working team.
